Research & Insight
Customer insight

We do several types of research to learn about users' behaviour, and the products and services they're already using. Of course, we're able to bring insights from both Japan and the UK.
Analytics

We help companies by analysing the tracking data from their website to find out how people are using it. These insights support the next stage of design.
Design
Product concepting

In the early project stages, we work with clients to establish what the product/software should be. This involves market analysis, user research and concepting of ideas.
Information architecture

It's important to design the functionality before starting on visual design and development. We use the best practice methods of wireframes and mock-up sites to achieve confidence in the designs before they move forward.
Prototyping

We use many methods and technologies to create prototypes so that our clients and their users can try out software/website before it's built. The prototypes can be used to inspire, or to test details of the design.
Evaluation
Usability testing

We can test websites or products with real users in the UK or in Japan, and it can be done in either English or Japanese, with real-time or video translation back to English if necessary.
Heuristic reviews

Heuristic review is an expert evaluation method that we use to help our clients start identify issues with their site/software. It's much cheaper and quicker than testing with real users.
