Why print this?

This was in New York last week.

It was funny, but it was also an interesting case of a tiny issue being amplified into a big one. Presumably they had somehow introduced the twisting, perhaps by feeding the rope from a loop. By not correcting it as they went along, they ended up in this position.

Here’s the context. It took them an hour and a half to sort it out.
